The November 12 preload date is confirmed too — it is stated in Take-Two’s pre-orders release (June 24, 2026) and corroborated by outlets such as TheSixthAxis. It is therefore not an open question, and you will not find it in the “still unannounced” list below.

On May 2, 2025, Rockstar announced via its Newswire that GTA VI was moving out of the 2025 window to a specific date: May 26, 2026. The Newswire post is tier-2 (it returns 403 to automated archiving), but its title appeared verbatim in search indexes and the delay was index-corroborated by outlets including CNN. Days later, Trailer 2 arrived on May 6, 2025, reaffirming that then-current May 26, 2026 window.

Second delay: November 19, 2026 — announced November 6, 2025

The second delay moved the game from May 26, 2026 to its current date, November 19, 2026, announced in Take-Two’s Q2 FY2026 earnings release on November 6, 2025 (again corroborated by Variety).

Is the date firm?

November 19, 2026 is the firm official date per Take-Two, and management has publicly reaffirmed it — Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick has said the game will not be delayed again. We report that as what it is: an executive statement of confidence, attributed — not an immutable guarantee. The date is the best information available and the one to plan around; the two prior delays are simply the reason we phrase it that way rather than promising it can never move.
